Hazel Pitt, ‘Mother', 2019
Analogue Photomontage. Archival Giclee print. Print size 20 x 35cm (paper size 22 x 37cm)
Hazel Pitt is a Midlands based analogue photomontage artist. She works with found and repossessed imagery, giving birth to new visual narratives. Her work focuses on how this medium can become a visceral conduit in the expression of the inner self.
And in a digital world, collage is a liberating, escapist art form.
Hazel’s photomontages have appeared in group shows at galleries including Espacia Gallery and The Bank, London, along with Summer Hall and The City Arts Centre, Edinburgh.
Hazel's early industrial experience includes working as a freelance Graphic Designer and Photomontage artist in the music industry, with clients including Polydor Records and Universal Studios.
